Cowboys Cold Water Challenge

Cowboys Showgirls has been part of the Lexington community since 1967. Love us or hate us we do love our town and take pride in being part of the Bluegrass. We recently joined the trend and started doing the Cold Water Challenge for charity! These Cold Water Challenges have been a fun way to raise monies for several local charities in Kentucky.

Our employees and patrons have stepped up to participate in the Cold Water Challenges. A large part of the donations have gone to the Joe Vissing Firefighter Fund. Mr Vissing is a Lexington Firefighter that has stage 4 cancer. His family and fellow firefighters are trying to raise enough money to “buy” his remaining 4 years in the retirement fund.

For those not familiar with the Cold Water Challenge, you donate $10 to any charity and get doused in cold water. When you take the challenge you have to video it and call out three others to do the same. If do you not participate within 24 hours then you are to donate $100 to the charity of the challenger’s choice.
